MyCodeLab — Open-Source Licence Policy

MyCodeLab is built with software written by other people. This page names each component and the licence it is used under, and provides the source code that some of those licences entitle you to. The complete text of every licence is also inside the app itself, under Open-source licences — tap the MyCodeLab wordmark at the top left of the editor.
Source code for the compiler (GPL)
MyCodeLab includes the GNU Compiler Collection and GNU Binutils, which are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. Anyone who receives MyCodeLab is entitled to the complete corresponding source code for those components, together with the scripts that control their compilation.
That source is available here, at no charge:

It contains the unmodified upstream releases of GNU Compiler Collection (avr-gcc) 13.3.0, GNU Binutils (avr-as, avr-ld, avr-ar, avr-objcopy) 2.44, AVR-LibC 2.2.1, together with BUILD.md, build-avr-gcc.sh and strip-toolchain.sh — the scripts that build and package the toolchain exactly as the app ships it.
We keep this available for at least 3 years after this version of MyCodeLab was last distributed. If the link above does not work, please contact us and we will send you the source.
MyCodeLab applies no patches to these components. What is specific to MyCodeLab is the build configuration — a cross-compiler that runs on Android and produces code for AVR microcontrollers — and that lives entirely in the scripts included in the archive.
MyCodeLab runs the compiler as a separate program. Programs you write with MyCodeLab, and the machine code the compiler produces from them, are yours and carry no obligation under these licences — this is the purpose of the GCC Runtime Library Exception, whose text is included.
